The only thing that was slow was the start of the race due to a sudden burst of rain. Dedicated fans stuck out the sudden shower, to see the 100 lap race.
Terry qualified 3rd, and with a deep inversion started 14th. Within 50 Terry had passed 12 cars to place in 3rd place. Senneker blew past the next 2 cars to take the lead around lap 66.

6/13/08 Dixie Challenges Senneker as First Timer
Saturday June 13th at Dixie Motor Speedway proved to be challenging and fun! With Teammate Steve Needles out early do to a mechanical failure, the pressure was on Senneker to perform.
A new track presents new challenges to a driver. New set ups due to each tracks dimensions, pavement differences, and rules gives each track its own individual personality. A driver must have time to alter the car to fit the track. At Dixie on Saturday there was no time to make changes to the car. The fast paced schedule does not make exceptions for new drivers.
Terry performed well. Qualifying 6th and starting 3rd, Senneker finished 4th. The Port City Dixie Cup Series race brought out top drivers; Scott Hanz, Harold Fair Jr., and Mike Root were among the field. The racing was spectacular as the Outlaw Late Models rounded the track. Mike Root took the green checkered flag at lap 50 for the win.
6/7/08 Weather Threatens as Senneker Takes on Berlin
It was a close call for getting the races in for Berlin Raceway, Marne MI on Saturday June 6th. Thunderstorms and Tornado Watches threatened as the races went on, fitting in 4 of the 5 features at Berlin.
It was a sweltering hot day at the track, as Senneker qualifies 2nd with a 15.288, just barely being beat out by Dakota Carlson. Teamate Steve Needles qualified in 6th place. The field was inverted 12 positions placing Terry with an 11th start and Needles in 6th.
As dark clouds rolled through the 19 Outlaw Late Models took the track and put on an impressive show. As the track cooled down, Senneker slowly worked his way through the field, fighting a loose car the entire racem, finishing in 6th Place. Needles finished 3rd. Overall it was a good night for the TA Gentry Green Team. Keep watching for more amazing racing action from these 2 Green Teamates!

5/31/08 Berlin Challanges Green Team
Berlin brings on mechanical problems for Terry Senneker. With only 5 laps into practice, a part on the 37 machine of Senneker breaks. Senneker had to run out, get the new part, and fix the car.... all before qualifying!
Senneker rolls out another 1st place qualifier. He started 11th in the race and finished 6th.
Teamate, Steve Needles had a good finish in 7th place.
NEXT RACE -------------> June 7th @ Berlin Raceway, Marne, MI.
5/24/08 Disappointment Found on Klash Day #2 at the Zoo!
Spring has finally arrived! It was a great day for racing and for race fans at the 2nd Event of the Klash Series Races in Kalamzoo Michigan. The Green Team was at top of the boards all day, but found disappointment in the end.
Terry Senneker was Fast Qualifier of the day with a 12.991 (no one even touched the 12 second mark). With a high inversion that left Terry starting in 14th place, it was a challange to get to the front of the pack. The aggressive racing made this race one not to miss. Senneker made it all the way up to 3rd place when a racing mishap involving leader Hank Miller and teamate Steve Needles, knocked him out of the race. This sent both Green Team members to the back of the pack to finish in the back of the field.
5/17/08 The Green Team Storms Kalamazoo Speedway
The TA Gentry team takes on Kalamazoo Speedway on Saturday May 27th. Terry Senneker brings the #37 car into a 6th place finish after a tough day at the Zoo. Meanwhile teamate Steve Needles #14 finished in 1st place! Congratualtions Steve!
5/9/08 Senneker WINS at Toledo Speedway
Terry Senneker takes home first win of the 2008 season at Toledo Speedway on Friday, May 8! The cool night proved to be an advantage to the Green and White 37 car, as it placed 1st in Qualifying and went on to Win the Golden Cup Trophy. Senneker proved to be the top driver out of the 20 cars that showed up for Friday night's race, taking home the very first - 1st place finish for Terry Gentry's T A G Racing Teams at Toledo Speedway!
Senneker qualified 1st, but rolled a 7 on the dice to give him a 7th place start. There were many cautions at the start of the race, but after riding in the pack for 20 laps Terry gained the number one position. No one could compete with the speeds of the 37 TA Gentry car of Senneker and by the end of the race he had more than half a lap lead on the second place car.
Teamate Steve Needles started 9th in the race behind Terry. Needles had a bit of bad luck as he tangled with the home town driver of Harld Fair Jr.
Senneker qualified 10th at Berlin Saturday night, which put him on the pole for the race, but due to mechanical problems he did not compete.
5/3/08 Kalamazoo Cancels Due to Rain!
4/26/08 Senneker Breaks 24 Year Track Record at Berlin Raceway!
Terry Senneker breaks a 24 year track record at Berlin Raceway, Marne, Michigan on Saturday April 26, 2008. A qualifying lap of 14.842 seconds (average speed of 106.232 mph) puts Senneker in the record books, replacing Butch Miller in 1984 with a 14.899 seconds.
A cold night a Berlin Raceway is no match for Terry Senneker. He qualified 1st and started 12th in the 50 lap race. Senneker had to battle with top drivers Tim DeVos, Ross Meuwssen, Randy Sweet, Terry VanHaitsma, and Scott Thomas. Meanwhile finishing with a respectable 4th place finish.
Teamate Steve Needles had a bit of tough luck during the race. He started on the inside of the 3rd row, made contact with the 12 of TIm DeVos, which forced Steve to pull in and fix a crinkled body panel .
We will see the TA Gentry Green Team at Kalamazoo Speedway next weekend (May 3rd) and Toledo Speedway on Friday May 9th. Watch this site for continued updates on race results and schedule changes.
Saturday was a great day for racing at the Kalamazoo Speedway. Some early clouds created some doubt that we would get the race in, but the first of four 100 lap Kalamazoo Klash Series events was completed. Approxiamtely 50 Late Models showed up for this event making it a spectacular night of racing !
Terry had a great day. The car was fast in practice and he held on to his trademark FAST QUALIFER status, turning a lap time of 12.995 seconds. He just beat out previous track champion Freddy Campbell (12.999 sec).
Terry rolled a 6 on the dice, which started him in the 12th position for the 100 lapper.
Good night turned bad.... On approximately lap 80/100 laps, Terry was battling for 2nd place with the 101 of Joe Bush when a cut left tire sent him sideways into the wall. This also involved teamate the #14 of Steve Needles. Terry finished 16th, with teamate Needles 17th. The 83 machine of Andy Bozell won the 1st of the 4 Kalamazoo Klash Series Races.
Despite the bad luck, Terry was able to prove that the new car is deserving of many first place finishes in the future. The TAGentry Green Team is going to be the dynamic duo to watch in the 2008 season.
Stay tuned for more updates. Don't forget to keep an eye on the schedule as more races become finalized.
Terry Senneker joins the TA Gentry Racing team with a new car and a new teamate. Terry will be in the #37 green machine, while his new teamate Steve Needles will be in the #14. These two will be quite a pair to watch this season! Watch for them at different Outlaw Late Model tracks through the season.
Terry is very excited to be joining forces with the TA Gentry Racing Team. With the combination of talent and skills, this team will surely be a force to be reckoned with!
The 2008 Race Season will begin the weekend of April 12th at Berlin Raceway for opening night. The next scheduled race will be on April 19th at Kalamazoo Speedway's opening night festivities. Check the Schudeule for any other tentative race plans.
With the 26-car field set for Main Event
XX, many expected to see the first repeat winner in race
history, as four previous winners were lined up along
the inside lane at the front of the pack. However, on
the wave of the green, outside polesitter, Kyle Jones
raced out front with Tim Ice falling into line. Yellow
waved a moment later, though, as Burgess White and Mike
Stacy were involved in a grinding crash in turn one.
On the complete restart, Ice would again have problems.
This time, the car seemed to slow in the middle of
turns one and two creating a traffic jam behind him.
Rich Rohrer, Fred Campbell, Brian Campbell, Joe Bush, Terry VanHaitsma, and
Don
Whetnall were among those involved. Many had to pit, while last year’s
winner Brian Campbell and Terry VanHaitsma were eliminated from action.
The third try would see Rich Rohrer pull past Kyle Jones entering turn one.
While the field did get its first lap in, the race’s third caution came out on
lap two for a Johnny Jenkins-Ryan Tedesco accident in turn two. The field then
realigned in single file formation and ran a good portion of the race under green
from that point on.
As Rohrer broke away from the field, Steve Needles
and Terry Senneker were working toward the front.
Eventually, Needles caught Rohrer, as the leader
worked the
heavy lapped traffic. As the duo worked Columbus’s outside lane to lap
other drivers, Senneker made it a three car race.
Closing in on the race’s mid-stage, Rohrer’s strong run was thwarted
by a right front tire problem. First, Needles went by, while Senneker moved into
second. After falling to fifth, Rohrer slowed, brought out a caution, and went
to the pits for a new right front.
Back to green with 53 laps in, Needles, Senneker, Joe
Bush, Donnie Hill, Jack Landis, Jones, and Rohrer
were the only lead lap cars. The final one-half
of
the race was full of excitement as the lead duo was working through traffic
while battling for the lead spot. Senneker was trying hard to get to the
outside of
Needles, but the leader was running a high lane on the straightaways which
kept Senneker behind.
As the laps wore down, Senneker decided an inside lane
move was necessary. The Dorr, Michigan driver placed
his Oetman Excavating/Moline Drain Tile
#37 on the
bottom of turn four and pulled alongside Needles entering one. By the
next circuit, Senneker was on his way to his biggest
career victory.
Following him to an impressive win were Needles, Bush
who ran a nice race after an early pit stop, Donnie
Hill after advancing from the last
chance,
and Rohrer
who finished as the final car on the lead lap.
Unbelievably, the 20th annual Main Event was won by
the 20th different driver. If there was ever a race
to have a repeat winner, the 2007
edition would
have been it.
